FARMINGTON – The Freshman Connection, a workshop designed for high school graduates who will be going to college for the first time, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, in Room 101 of Roberts Center, University of Maine at Farmington.

The purpose is to ease anxiety and answer questions about the first-year college experience. The workshop includes a presentation, large and small group discussions and activities.

The Freshman Connection deals with organization, time management, money, stress, student services, faculty and student relationships, residence halls and campus activities.

It is sponsored by the College Connection. It is not a UMF event. Class size is limited. There is a $15 free, but scholarships are available. For more information and to register, call the College Connection at 645-3517.
