LIVERMORE FALLS – The long-awaited Gazebo Market will hold its grand opening on Saturday, June 25, at the downtown Gazebo. Slated for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday, the market will host a wide array of food and craft vendors, special music and an opportunity to visit with others.

The opening will feature a frog-jumping contest for kids at 10 a.m. and a kids’ coloring contest, gift certificate giveaways each hour (free to enter but must be present to win) and live music featuring the music of Barry Wood from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Along with special events and music, the Gazebo Market will offer vegetables, seafood, maple syrup and honey, seedlings, bedding plants and perennials for the garden, locally made crafts, jewelry, baked items and whole-grain breads.

Food and green vendors will include Ernest Boothby, seedlings and vegetables; Cranky Yankee Gardens, spinach, other greens and herbs; Pam’s Pantry, fresh baked goods, maple syrup, vegetables; Four Winds Redemption Center, fresh Maine lobster and clams; Softie Delite, homemade ice cream; Chretien and Sons, seedlings, bedding plants and perennials for the garden; The C-Farm, vegetables; and Peggy and Ricky’s Landing-Guy Palmieri, drawf Alberta spruce trees.

Craft vendors will include Elizabeth Reed, jewelry; Sandy Morris, tole painting and mini-quilts; Wendy Hobart, jewelry, baskets and sewing items; Heidi Wilde, hand-painted glassware, candleholders, Christmas decorations; Leila Field, dream catchers and general craft items; Michaud’s Woodworking of Bath; Armand Bilodeau of Livermore Falls, woodworking items; Solar Art Glass of Farmington, blown glass items; and the Nazarene Church, general craft table.

The musical line-up for July will include Silver and Gold on July 2, Bing and Nancy Crosby on July 9, Paddy Mills on July 16 and Native Oak on July 23.

Plans have been made for a Great Community Picnic Day on Saturday, July 2. All families are invited to bring their own picnic lunch to eat around the gazebo. Other special events will include a chili-tasting contest, Hot Chili Day, July 9; Flower Arrangements with Gnome Gardens, July 16; Health and Wellness Day, July 23; and salad preparation demo with Washburn Norlands, July 30.
