SCARBOROUGH – The band Blue Merle will record a live EP at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Bull Moose Music, 456 Payne Road. After the performance, band members will sign autographs.
Blue Merle’s most recent release, “Burning in the Sun,” received favorable reviews and attention for the band, which has opened for the Dave Matthews Band. Free and open to the public. FMI: call 885-9553.
Blue Merle performed at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee and has been touring the South. Singles from the CD include “Burning in the Sun” and “Stay.” Band members for the five-man group from Nashville are Beau Stapleton, Jason Oettel, William Ellis, Luke Reynolds and Luke Bella.
The recording session is free and open to the public.
