LEWISTON – Taking practice tests that could help people reach school and career goals can often be expensive and inconvenient. Now it is free and accessible with a Lewiston Public Library card.

Either from home or from the library, one just has to log onto a computer and begin preparing for any number of official exams such as the SAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB, firefighter, police officer, paramedic, EMT basic, U.S. citizenship, postal worker, cosmetology, real estate agent and broker exams.

One may just want to improve reading, writing, math or grammar skills. With the new online service, that too is possible.

Lewiston Public Library has made it possible by subscribing to LearningExpress Library, an interactive Web site that features more than 300 online practice tests and courses for students and adults of all ages. LearningExpress is the preeminent online provider of test preparation, basic skills and career guidance materials, serving 3,000 libraries nationwide.

For more information on using the LearningExpress database, visit the Lewiston Public Library’s Web pages at www.lplonline.org or call 784-0135, ext. 210.
