LEWISTON – The United Baptist Church, 250 Main St., has announced the arrival of its new pastor, Dr. William R. Stevenson Jr.
Stevenson and his wife, Etta, come here after pastoring a church outside of Rochester, N.Y., for the last 18 years. Before that, for 15 years they served as missionaries in Japan, involved primarily in church planting. The Stevensons have four grown children and three grandsons.
The United Baptist Church has been involved in an extensive search for a new pastor for the last year and now anticipates a new period of growth and development of Biblical ministries.
All are invited to attend the Sunday morning worship services, which begin normally at 10:30, but beginning June 26 will start at 9:30 for the summer.
