RUMFORD – The lunch for SeniorsPlus at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, will feature Karaoke entertainment at the Rumford Dining Center, 50 Congress St. The entertainment will begin at noon.

The menu will include barbecued chicken, broccoli salad, potato salad, cheese biscuit, coffee, tea or milk and a fresh fruit cup.

Cost is a $2.50 donation for those 60 and over, their spouses, people with disabilities and volunteers; $4, under 60.

Fest events

RUMFORD – An ATV and snowmobile show contest will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 3, on River Street during the Moontide Water Festival. It will include best Jeep, three-wheeler, four-wheeler, dirt bike and even one prize for the one with the most mud.

The snowmobile show will include awards for best Arctic Cat, Polaris and Ski-Doo and best accessories.

A new event, a doll show, will be held Monday, July 4. It will represent an exhibition of dolls of every kind, from antique and china dolls to boxed collector’s Barbies. Those who want to sell dolls may see the craft or flea market offerings. For more information, call 369-9138.

Chalk art show

RUMFORD – Lem Cissel, owner of the Scrappers Domaine and the Pennacook Art Center, announces the second annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Show on Congress Street. Last year there were eight participants. He is hoping for more this year. Contestants are to be from Grades K-12 including graduates.

There will be winners in first, second and third places. The first-place winner will receive a $100 cash prize; second, $50; third, $25. The theme will be “Freedom and Independence.”

Contestants should meet with Cissel at the art center on Congress Street at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4. For more information, call 364-9972 or 364-3599.
