CAPE ELIZABETH – The QVC at-home shopping channel is coming to the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth next month as part of the channel’s “Decade of Discoveries Tour.”

The QVC bus is being dispatched to celebrate 10 years of the shopping channel. It will be at Maine’s most famous lighthouse from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 15, according to QVC. The show will be done live, on location.

Portland Head Light was chosen as one of 10 sights QVC will visit this summer because the company considers it among the 10 most popular destinations in the country.

During the two hours the bus will be at the Portland Head Light, the show will feature 10 entrepreneurs and inventors selling their products, ranging from food to electronics to apparel to home decor and jewelry. The 10 entrepreneurs featured at each stop were chosen from more than 3,000 submissions from across the country. None of the entrepreneurs featured during the Maine stop are from Maine, according to the company.
