LEWISTON – The wedding of Sarah Yvonne Dufour and William Robert Brooks was held at 2 p.m. on May 14 at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston. Debbie Nowak, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Brooks is the daughter of Elaine and Raoul Nelson of Newcastle, and Philip and Jody Dufour of Jay. Mr. Brooks is the son of Charles and Dorothy Brooks of Lisbon.

The bride, given in marriage by her father and stepfather, wore a white medieval style gown with long sheer sleeves. She carried a bouquet of mixed wild flowers.

Amy Terrell, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Rachel Corriveau, friend of the bride, Heatherangel Libby, cousin of the bridegroom, and Demitria Nelson, stepsister of the bride. Caitlyn Rose Terrell, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Serving as best man for his cousin was Kenneth Wood and ushers were Robert Brooks, brother of the bridegroom, Christopher Dufour, brother of the bride, and Warren Libby, cousin-in-law of the bridegroom, Galen Libby, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston. The couple is planning a cruise.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is employed at Bonney Staffing Agency.

The bridegroom is employed at Central Maine Athletic Center.
