CARTHAGE – Richard K. White, president of Webb River Valley ATV Club, has announced that the access trails on Ballfield Road and River Road are closed until further notice. As a result, there is no ATV trial access to the gasoline pumps in Carthage. This closure is due to landowner complaints about excessive noise and speed.

VFW meeting

PARIS – VFW Post 9787 will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the VFW Post in South Paris. The women’s auxiliary has been invited to the short, but important meeting.

Knitters Guild

Artwork needed

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Children’s House, a Montessori school in Paris, is looking for children’s artwork to display as part of its participation in the Norway Summer Festival and Sidewalk Art Show on Saturday, July 9. The display would go in the window of the Odd Fellows building. All young artists are welcome. Contact Alicia Loper, school director, at 515-1070. The Oxford Hills Children’s House will be offering face-painting, music, food preparation, Tibetan artwork and helium balloons on the day of the show in front of the Fare Share Commons.
