MINOT – The Minot Historical Society will hold a roast pork public supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the West Minot Grange Hall.

Dessert will be strawberry shortcake. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

The society is a nonprofit organization, which is raising funds to work on historical preservation projects in Minot. Members are working on the William Ladd estate, creating a park and floral garden.

Members would like to work on the property where the Noyes one-room schoolhouse previously stood. Another project is the “Town Pound,” where any animal or fowl that was found roaming, such as cattle, horses, swine, chickens, was placed until the owner was found.

Members are interviewing on videotape Minot residents who have knowledge of the town’s past. They will be shown during the supper. Other artifacts collected will be on display.
