LEWISTON – All 10 members of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council attended their first Business to Business Trade Show at the Colisee on June 16 to get the word out about their quest, in partnership with the Lewiston School Department, to place an electronic community message board at both entrances of Lewiston City Hall.

The message board will display municipal, community and school activities and events, and the council and the school department foresee the boards as an effective “communication tool.”

During the show, council members sold raffle tickets for a MAINEiacs Flex Pack and a Funtown/Splashtown family pass, with proceeds to benefit the $40,000 sign project. The winner of the Funtown/Splashtown pass was Barbara Tevault. The winner of the MAINEiacs Flex Pack will be drawn on July 15, as council members will sell flex pack raffle tickets until that date. Thus far, the raffle has raised $410.

Council members participating at the trade show were Katie Lauze, Ryan Reed, Rachel Spilecki, Ashley Morgan, Jonathan Isacco, Ally Beaucage, Jenni Golletti, Sarah Peters, Hossain Naji and Kelin Sevit.

Anyone wishing to donate to the project may make checks payable to the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council and mail to 27 Pine St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
