LEWISTON – The Vineyard Christian School announces the appointment of Ruth Handler of Lewiston to the position of school director and Peter Woods to the position of assistant director.
Handler has been teaching kindergarten at the school since graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2001. She is passionate about education and ministry and looks forward to leading the school on in its philosophy of educating the mind, body and spirit.
Woods, also of Lewiston, has a bachelor of arts degree in pastoral ministries from Northwest College in Kirkland, Wash. He has been involved in ministry for the last several years and has been teaching in the Vineyard Christian School.
Woods said he looks forward to the continued development of the sports programs at the school as well as the development of the physical grounds, which will include a new soccer and baseball field.
