OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the Kay House meeting room, 73 Pleasant St. Jean Frederico, who operates Pawsabilities of Norway Lake, will give a program on the growing and using of herbs. Creation seminar

NORWAY – A Creation Seminar will be presented by Steve Grohman Sunday through Wednesday, July 24 to 27, at the Oxford Hills Christian Fellowship at the corner of Country Club Road and Route 117, one mile south of Norway Lake. Open house

PARIS – The Oxford County Cooperative Extension will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the office, 9 Olson Road, South Paris.

Those attending will learn about the programs and activities offered by the Extension, including 4-H/youth development, family living, senior companions, nutrition, Master Gardener/Plant a Row for the Hungry and Extension Homemakers.

In addition to general information and displays, staff of the Eat Well Program will have a cooking demonstration at 5 p.m. utilizing fresh produce from the office vegetable garden.

At 6 p.m. there will be a discussion/demonstration on growing cut flowers in an unheated hoop house.

WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will hold its annual inside yard and bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. There will be hot dogs, soda, coffee and sweets for sale.
