NORWAY – The Norway Downtown Revitalization board of directors will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Norway Savings Bank. The public is welcome to attend, and all are encouraged to bring a lunch; drinks and dessert will be available. An agenda and minutes of the June meeting will be sent out later in the week. The board will return to the regular meeting schedule, noon the first Thursday of the month, in September.

Foliage race

WATERFORD – The Waterford Fall Foliage Road Race will be held on Sunday, Sept. 25, at Waterford Flats. The races will take place as follows: 11:30 a.m., one-mile fun run for all children under 12; 11:45, 5K wheelchair and hand bike race; and noon, 5K road race/ fitness walk.

On-line registration can be made at www.active.com or call 583-2603 or 583-4611. Proceeds will benefit the Tony Waldeier Scholarship Fund, which gives scholarships to Waterford graduates each year.

There will be a chili cookoff at the race site, drawings and prizes. Chili will be free for all race participants. The first 100 racers will receive long-sleeved T-shirts. The race will be held rain or shine.
