Adams, 57, of Oregon, town unknown, on charges of assault on an officer, refusing to submit to arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant issued from Portland, Maine, for failure to pay fines, at 5:40 p.m. July 22 on U.S. Route 2. He was taken to Oxford County jail and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Oct. 4.

• Gary Child, 43, of Lacroix Road, Peru, on a charge of domestic assault at 11 p.m. July 18 on Kidder Avenue. He was taken to Oxford County jail and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Oct. 4.

• Charles Kessinger, 24, of Stone Street, Jay, on charges of operating under the influence and operating after suspension at 1:21 a.m. July 18 on Main Street. He was taken to Oxford County jail and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Nov. 2.

Accidents

• Kricket L. Thompkins, 40, of Canton Point Road, Dixfield, lost control of her 1999 Subaru station wagon at 10:30 p.m. July 21 on Canton Point Road when she swerved to avoid a moose. She skidded across the road and struck the embankment. Her vehicle rolled over and landed on its roof. She was taken to Rumford Hospital, where she was treated and later released. Her vehicle was destroyed.
