PORTLAND (AP) – Gabby Torres hit a three-run homer and the New Britain Rock Cats did all their scoring in the seventh inning en route to a 7-1 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs on Thursday in the Eastern League.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for New Britain (52-59) and ended a seven-game winning streak for the division-leading Sea Dogs (58-49).

Portland starter Kason Gabbard (8-9) had a no-hitter going before J.R. Taylor singled harmlessly with two outs in the sixth inning. But the roof caved in on Gabbard and the Sea Dogs an inning later as the Rock Cats exploded for six hits and seven runs.

Matt Moses drove in two runs with a single and Torres hit his first homer of the season off reliever Conor Brooks.

Errol Simonitsch (4-3) got the win, allowing one run on seven hits while striking out seven and walking one.
