SABATTUS – Adelard and Pauline Boilard of Sabattus celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on May 28 at Martindale Country Club. The event was hosted by their six children and spouses, who are Sue and Scott Crocker of Lewiston, Robert and Nancy Boilard of Lewiston, Diane and Steve Daigle of Auburn, Gary and Pam Boilard of Sabattus, Dennis and Diane Boilard of Lewiston and Tammy and Artie Larson of Florida. They were married on May 28, 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.

The couple arrived in a super-stretch limo and were greeted by numerous family and friends. Their youngest granddaughter, Kelsey, took care of the guest book and the couple’s eldest son, Robert, provided the toast prior to dinner. After dinner, their son, Gary, entertained guests with a speech. Grandchildren Ryan and Jennifer, presented their grandparents with a quilt, which was designed with squares each personalized by their six children, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and each of their 13 grandchildren.

A beautiful three-tier cake was designed by Barbara Johnson, a friend of the family, as her gift to the couple. While the cake was being served, guests were invited to watch a video taking the couple on a trip down memory lane. The evening ended with a night filled with music and dancing.

The children took the couple on a Caribbean cruise visiting the islands of Barbados, St. Marteen and Martinique in February.
