BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) – A convicted sex offender was arrested Monday on charges of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy.
Alan Hicks, 51, of Walpole, N.H., has been charged with aggravated sexual assault.
Police say the Burlington teenager had agreed to meet Hicks in the Price Chopper parking lot in Burlington on Friday evening after communicating with the man over the Internet and by phone.
Hicks then drove the teenager to a motel in Ferrisburgh, where they engaged in sexual acts, police said.
The boy refused to be driven back to Burlington by Hicks, and called his father who reported the alleged assault to police, police said.
Hicks, who has a prior sexual assault conviction in New Hampshire, was arrested in Bellows Falls.
