PORTLAND (AP) – The Portland Sea Dogs hit three homers and capitalized on errors and defensive lapses to sweep a doubleheader against the Binghamton Mets, 8-5 and 3-1, Monday.

Brandon Moss singled, tripled and homered while David Murphy and Jeremy West also knocked homers to pace the Sea Dogs in the first of two seven-inning games. Chris Durbin knocked a key RBI double and Hanley Ramirez drove in the winning run with an infield hit.

Lastings Milledge doubled and scored for Binghamton.

In the nightcap, Milledge knocked a leadoff homer and the Mets (52-69) led for four innings before Portland (66-56) tied it on a single, walk and two wild pitches in the fifth.

Doubles by Scott Youngbauer and Jared Sandberg were the key hits as Portland tallied two runs in the bottom of the sixth, but the game-winner scored on a throwing error by Binghamton shortstop David Bacani.
