AUBURN – The wedding of Carol Giasson-White and Daniel R. St. Pierre was held at 2 p.m. on June 25 at the East Auburn Baptist Church. The Rev. Roger Cousineau officiated at the ceremony.

Renee Davis, niece of the bride, sang “You Light Up My Life,” while the couple was lighting the unity candle. Andre White, youngest son of the bride, presented a reading on “Love,” at church. The organist was Barbara Cousineau, wife of the the pastor. Hannah Giasson, godchild and niece of the bride, greeted the guests and also had charge of the wedding gifts at the reception.

The bride is the daughter of the late Romeo and Donatha (Cyr) Giasson of Lewiston. The bridegroom is the son of the late Patrick and Laura (Ouellette) St. Pierre of Lewiston.

The bride was given in marriage by her eldest son, Army Staff Sgt. Dominique White. She wore a three-piece ivory long pant/skirt with tank top and a jacket with long sheer sleeves. She also wore a light pink shawl for accent and carried a bouquet of white, pink and red roses with baby’s breath and green ivy.

Witnesses for the ceremony were Genevieve White, the bride’s eldest daughter, and Eric St. Pierre, the bridegroom’s eldest son. The seven children gave their parents away. Her children are Dominique and his wife, Carrie White, Genevieve White, Robyn and her husband, Christopher Gray, Danielle White and her partner, Matthew Libby, and Andre White and his partner, Jeremy Dubois. His children are Eric St. Pierre and Kevin and his wife, Kim St. Pierre.

The grandchildren are Izaac White, Joshua White, Ashton Gray, Mikaila St. Pierre, Mariah St. Pierre and Keenan St. Pierre.

All seven children participated in a candle lighting ceremony, uniting both families.

A reception followed at the Fireside Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Ogunquit. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 1970 graduate of Plus Gray School of Business in Portland. She is employed as deputy town clerk for the town of Turner.

The bridegroom is a 1969 graduate of Lewiston High School and owns his own construction company, DRS Construction, in Auburn.
