LEWISTON – A 18-year-old Lewiston boy who was struck by a car on Main Street late Wednesday remained hospitalized in critical condition a day later.
Police said Charles Devin Bradrick was still being treated for head and other injuries at Central Maine Medical Center. Although his condition was listed as critical, the Lewiston teen was expected to survive, police Lt. Tom Avery said.
About 10 p.m., Bradrick was crossing Main Street, near Arch Avenue, when he was struck by a car headed toward Auburn, police said.
Betty Cunningham, 42, of Lewiston was driving the car and called for help after Bradrick was struck and thrown into the street.
Cunningham was not hurt in the crash. Police reconstructed the scene to determine what caused the wreck.
“It’s still under investigation,” Avery said. “But at this time, no criminal charges are pending.”
