Tournaments
Two local tournaments have been announced. The Fourth Annual Auburn Public Library Carnegie Golf Cup will be held Thursday, Sept, 22 at Martindale Country Club. Registration for the scramble begins at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in all categories. Special guests are scheduled to include Gov. John Baldacci, and L-A Mayors Lionel and Normand Guay. Western Maine Health will host its first fall classic Monday, Sept. 19 at Sunday River Golf Club. The tournament will follow a team scramble format beginning at 8:30 a.m. Teams of four may participate for $750, or individuals may enter for $195 and be placed on a scramble team.
