AUBURN – The 50th wedding anniversary of Joseph and Genice Bugel of Auburn was celebrated recently during a Royal Caribbean cruise.
They departed on their anniversary from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., joined by Deborah Bugel, Barry Richardson, Trish and David Bugel and Diane and Gary Wigant. On the evening of their anniversary, their children presented them with a commemorative DVD of pictures and personal memories from family members and many cherished friends.
On their cruise they visited Ochos Rios, Jamaica, Georgetown and the Grand Caymans. One of the highlights of the cruise was an honorary dinner and ship tour with the captain of the Enchantment of the Seas.
The couple was married on April 30, 1955, at St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston. They have three grandchildren, Ben and Brian Wigant and Deanna Bugel. They have resided in Michigan, New York and Maine. Future plans include winter vacations at Hutchinson Island in Florida and visits to Las Vegas, Nev.
