LEWISTON – The Pediatric Associates new building was officially opened on Sept. 14 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new office is located at 33 Mollison Way in the Fairgrounds Business Park, across from the Department of Motor Vehicles and near Lever’s Daycare.

Mayor Lionel Guay officially cut the ribbon. Guay said, “Children and parents in Lewiston-Auburn are lucky. This first rate facility will actually have children looking forward to going to the doctors.”

Pediatric Associates began serving patients in the new facility about a month prior to the ribbon cutting. Roland Potvin, practice manager, and Dr. Linda Glass, co-owner of the practice with her husband, Dr. George Glass, took a lead role in designing the facility.

Potvin said, “It took two or three days for the staff to get accustomed to the new space, but very quickly after that they were right into the routine, taking advantage of and appreciating the efficiencies.”

Pediatric Associates has been serving patients from Brunswick to Farmington for more than 40 years. The Glasses joined the practice 13 years ago.

The new building is nearly four times as large as the previous facility on Webster Street. Speaking of the new facility, Guay and Roland Potvin shared the sentiment, “It’s happening here.”
