AUBURN – The Auburn Art Club will hold its first meeting of the year at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at the High Street Congregational Church.
Tammy Grieshaber, local photographer, will speak on her varied perspectives with the camera.
Grieshaber is the owner of Creative Cycles, a digital media company specializing in photography and videography. After many years in community relations, she opened her own business in order to blend her two passions: photography and computer design.
She has produced numerous short videos, including College for ME, Androscoggin, and assisted in the production of a 30-minute documentary about the middle school laptop program.
Her fine art photography has been displayed at Nothing But the Blues Cafe, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and several art shows in Maine and Florida.
Grieshaber is basically a self-trained artist who studies the work of other photographers, painters and designers. She has taken courses in graphic design, portraiture, video production and photography at Maine College of Art, Camden Creative Photographic Center, Cambridge Community Education and Lewiston Adult Education.
Her newest skills are in digital painting, converting landscape photographs and portraits into digital oil or watercolor prints. She will discuss the art of digital photography.
Serving on the program committee for the October event will be Chairwoman Mona Ervin, Kim Lidstone and Mareen Hargreaves.
