RUMFORD – There will be something for everyone at the Rumford Area Rotary’s Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 15, including a palm reader, crafts, raffles, baked goods and fudge, face painting and walking vegetables.

The doors of the Oxford County Arc Adult Activity Center on Lincoln Avenue will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children will be entertained by youth from the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition with face painting and activities. The Rotary’s Interact Club will be in the kitchen serving up some favorites.

There’ll be the usual large selection of books – this year crowned by hundreds of romance novels at special prices.

The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary will sell its fudge and tickets for a $300 cash raffle. The Adult Activity Center will have a Chinese auction and there will be a 50-50 at the door. Admission is free.
