LIVERMORE – The Ted Berry Co., 521 Federal Road, hosted the September Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce meeting when the topic was “Marketing Your Business.”

Bruce Adams, Group Adams Propane, shared an article on “Customer Loyalty vs. Satisfaction – Is There a Difference?” by Tim Fulton of Missouri. Jim, Linda and Matt Timberlake of the Berry Co. gave a brief history of their firm’s development through three generations of owners, then explained their expanding marketing strategies.

The session also included a discussion of plans for the Saturday, Oct. 1, Apple/Pumpkin Festival in downtown Livermore Falls, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The chamber is hoping to make the festival bigger, with events throughout the day for “children” of all ages. Community members and organizations wishing to participate should contact the chamber office at 897-6755.

It was noted that the 2005 Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce membership has now reached a record 72 members. The chamber roll includes a blend of civic, social and nonprofit organizations, as well as businesses with employee numbers ranging from one to hundreds.
