MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – John Bateman completed 15 of 28 passes for 158 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception to lead Colby to a 20-7 win over Middlebury College on Saturday.

Colby (2-0) scored on its opening drive. Bateman found Roddy Ames 15 yards down field, with Ames carrying the ball for a 56-yard scoring play.

Leading 7-to-0 at the half, Colby doubled the lead with five minutes remaining in the third quarter as Mike Bracco picked off a pass and returned it 53 yards.
