During the month of Sept., Edward Little High School’s hurricane relief effort has been raising money for the victims of hurricane Katrina. The week of Sept. 7 was hat week; all students could wear a hat with a donation of a dollar a day. Tickets for the EL football game on Sept. 9 were increased by a dollar. The extra dollar went to the relief effort. During the week of Sept. 16, faculty could pay a dollar a day to wear jeans. The week of Sept. 17 was dedicated to a garage sale. Donations were collected all week, and on the 20th all profits went to the relief fund. A bake sale was held during the week of Sept. 19. All baked goods were priced individually, and after a week all profits were added to the relief effort. In Sept., ice cream sundaes were sold for a dollar apiece. On Sept. 29, there was an assembly contributing to the relief effort. In honor of Mardi Gras and the victims in New Orleans, there was a Mardi Gras parade.

Our goal for the month of Sept. was $2,500. Our goal was achieved as we raised well over $4,000.
