Crafters needed

NORWAY – St. Catherine’s Sodality will hold its annual holiday fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Parish Hall at St. Catherine’s, Paris Street. Crafters are needed, and tables are available for $10. Contact Rita at 743-5760 to reserve a table.

Hunter safety

OXFORD – A hunter safety training course will run Sunday through Tuesday, Oct. 23 to 25. Sunday it will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Lake Thompson Fish and Game Club is sponsoring the course at the Lake Thompson Clubhouse. Students ages 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the full program. Authorized instructors are donating their time. Maximum capacity is 40 students.

Tables available

OXFORD – The Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church will have a craft sale downstairs at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, with a Sunday, Nov. 20, snow date. Tables can be rented for $15. The number to call is 674-2343 to reserve a table or for more information. There will also be homebaked goods, used books and odds and ends on sale.

Money course

PARIS – A stock market course will be offered by Oxford Hills Adult Education starting Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

The course will focus on the development of a stock market investment plan to achieve more consistent and more satisfactory rates of return. Money management theory, the stock selection process, research and analysis techniques, trading methodology and the effects of market psychology will be covered.
