Revival services

FARMINGTON – The public is invited to attend revival services with Evangelist Morris Gleiser at New Hope Baptist Church at 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and at 6:30 p.m. each evening through Wednesday, Nov. 2. The church is located at 268 Perham St.

Country Sunday

JAY – Maine Country Music Association will present a Country Sunday from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Jay Community Building.

Scheduled performers include Slim Andrews of Auburn, The Maine Connection of Rockland, Ray Paul Sr. of Jay, Ronnie Roy of Jay, Bobby Thibodeau of South Paris, Jim Scott of Rumford, the Crosby’s of Jay, Janet Wentworth of Kennebunk and Barry Wood of Jay.

Admission is $5 over 12 years. There will be refreshments available. The public is welcome. For more information, call Barry Wood at 897-3597.

Needs volunteers

JAY – The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area is looking for volunteers to help with a food drive to be held from Oct. 31 through Nov. 11. Church lunch

FARMINGTON – A fish chowder luncheon is available to eat in or take out from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Fairbanks Union Church. Along with the chowder, homemade biscuits and apple pie, cheese and pickles are included for $6.

College workshop

WILTON – The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will offer a workshop, “The Essentials of College Planning,” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Wilton Career Center. It is a free college-planning workshop for adults considering college. Call 1-800-281-3703 to register.

Public supper

INDUSTRY – A public supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Industry Town Hall. Menu includes hot turkey sandwich with homemade biscuits, stuffing, squash, peas, cranberry sauce and gingerbread with whipped topping. Cost is adults, $6; children under 12, $3. It is sponsored by the Clearwater Ministries.
