LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club and the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Club will meet jointly at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Ramada Inn.

Recognizing their common mission to serve the Lewiston-Auburn community as representatives of Rotary International, members of the clubs have started meeting jointly on occasion to build fellowship and exchange ideas.

The clubs have chosen motivational speaker Bill Picard to address the meeting. Despite limitations, including limited motor skills and speech caused by severe cerebral palsy, Picard graduated from the University of Maine and, with the aid of technology, has been a motivational-educational speaker for more than 10 years.

His speeches are unique in that he uses a talking keyboard to share his experiences and challenge his audiences to expand their own personal boundaries.

The public is welcome to attend the presentation.

The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club meets at the Ramada Inn at noon on Thursdays. Anyone who would like to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend any Thursday. The cost of luncheon is $8 a person.
