BOSTON (AP) – Guard Will Bynum was waived by the Celtics on Tuesday, two months after he was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech.

In four exhibition games, Bynum averaged 1.3 points and 1.5 assists in 9.5 minutes. He had played on Boston’s summer league team, averaging 4.2 points and 2.7 assists in six games.

As a junior at Georgia Tech, Bynum scored the winning basket to beat Oklahoma State in the 2004 NCAA semifinals before the Yellow Jackets lost to Connecticut in the championship game. He also spent two seasons at Arizona before transferring to Georgia Tech.
