SACO – Sweetser announced it has hired Ronald Taglienti as director of child and family community services and Bob Fowler as director of adult community-based services.

Taglienti has more than 25 years of experience managing children’s services for the state’s Department of Health and Human Services. In his previous position as manager of the Children’s Behavioral Health Services division, Taglienti was a leader in the state’s development of community-based mental health services for children. This system dramatically decreased the number of Maine children in out-of-state hospitals. His expertise includes developing and managing services for children with autism, mental retardation, mental illness and behavioral disorders.

Taglienti, who resides in Auburn, will oversee all of Sweetser’s child and family community-based programs from Brunswick north to Belfast.

Fowler has more than 15 years of experience as a social worker, including 10 years in leadership. He has managed a full spectrum of adult mental health programs including outpatient counseling services, employee assistance programs and mobile crisis teams.

Prior to joining Sweetser, Fowler directed outpatient clinical services for Community Counseling Center in Portland. As the director of Adult Community-based Services for Sweetser, Fowler will be responsible for the organization’s adult services in the greater Brunswick area. Fowler resides in New Gloucester.
