Playing games

BOWDOIN – The Bowdoin Historical Society will host its annual Community Memory Day on Sunday, Nov. 6, at FHC Inc. on Main Street. The program will start at 2 p.m. and refreshments will be served after.

Jim Moulton will facilitate the program with the topic “Games We Played.” The public is welcome to attend and share memories of games they played. For more information, call Patrice Mathieu at 353-5193.

Fellowship

LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Area Widow Fellowship will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street. The gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed at noon by a potluck lunch.

All interested widows in the area are invited. The group meets the first Monday of the month unless a holiday, then the second Monday.

OES meeting

WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Grange Hall and Masonic Building, 322 Centre Road, to honor the stations of marshal, warder and sentinel. All members and visiting members are invited.

Lakeside will join Pine Cone Chapter 26, in Auburn on Thursday, Nov. 10, for a fund-raising potluck supper benefiting ESTARL. Lakeside will bring salads.

Togus visit

TOGUS – The Mary Dillingham Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Togus. Members should bring a bag lunch and help honor adopted veterans. There will be a speaker, and all prospective members are welcome. For more information, call Mary Jane Densmore at 998-7025.

Firefighters

MONMOUTH – The Androscoggin County Firefighters Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Monmouth Fire Station.

Movie night

LISBON – The Lisbon Community School PTO and Lisbon Library Department will hold the second annual Family Movie Night at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St.

All school families are welcome to attend the free event, featuring the movie “Madagascar.” Refreshments will be served.
