CASTINE – The following Midshipmen, were recently sworn in as members of the Marine Maritime Academy Regiment of Midshipman at a ceremony held earlier this fall during the college’s annual Family Weekend. The midshipmen oath was administered to the 140 candidates by Captain Jeff Loustaunau, Commandant of Midshipmen and Port Captain, marking the successful conclusion of Regimental Preparatory Training (RPT) for the Class of 2009.

Midshipman Rachel Kennedy of Auburn is a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. She is majoring in Marine Transportation Operations.

Midshipman Kyle Dupuis of Lewiston is a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston. He is majoring in Marine Transportation Operations.

Midshipman Nicholas Bonenfant of Lewiston is a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston. He is majoring in Marine Engineering Technology.

Midshipman Alain Prevost of Lewiston is a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston. He is majoring in Marine Engineering Operations.
