SUMNER – The East Sumner Congregational Church announces events happening in November and December.
Nov. 9: deacons and trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 13: the Rev. David Ray will preach/coffee hour after church. Food items for Thanksgiving baskets.
Nov. 14: Choir rehearsal at 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 20: Thanksgiving baskets put together and delivered. Order poinsettias/mission offering to Red Cross.
Nov. 27: 1st Sunday of Advent.
Dec. 2: Dessert and coffee and hanging of the greens at 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 4: Second Sunday of Advent/choir sings; Communion Sunday/offering for deacons’ fund; poinsettias brought in.
Dec. 7: caroling at Victorian Villa at 6 p.m. (meet at church at 5:30).
Dec. 11: Third Sunday of Advent/special music by Greg and Sue; Sunday school decorates tree during church; coffee hour and Christmas party after church; Sunday school Christmas play at 4 p.m. with potluck supper following.
Dec. 14: Deacons and trustees to meet at 6:30 p.m.; council, 7:15 p.m.
Dec. 18: Fourth Sunday of Advent/mission offering to Veterans of the Cross.
Dec. 19: Christmas choir rehearsal at 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 24: Christmas eve service at 7p.m.
Dec. 25: Christmas Day service at 9 a.m.
