WATERVILLE – Aaron Stepka carried 26 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns as Colby defeated Tufts 28-16 on Saturday.

Michael Tomich caught six passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns and Chris Bashaw rushed 18 times for 109 yards for Colby (6-1 New England Small College Athletic Conference).

Tufts (2-5) led 16-7 at the half, but was held to just 35 yards in total offense over the final two quarters.

Colby went ahead to stay late in the third period when Tomich caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Justin Smith, who completed 17 of 25 for 202 yards.

Casey D’Annolfo threw two touchdown passes to David Halas for Tufts.
