LEWISTON – The Rev. Claude R. Gendreau, newly appointed administrator of Holy Family Parish, has announced that the Holy Family Catholic Christian Community will be hosting, for a second consecutive year, a Veterans Day Community Prayer Service to honor all who served and continue to serve the country.

The service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the church, 607 Sabattus St.

Gendreau has arranged for veteran participation for the presentation of the colors and for the different branches of the military. Readers will also have a military connection.

Patriotic music for the special service will be provided by the Holy Family Parish combined music ministry programs. Paul G. Caron will be the keyboardist and Henry E. St. Pierre, parish director of music, will lead those in attendance.

Gendreau said, “I would like to continue making this celebration a yearly event that truly involves a large portion of the Lewiston-Auburn communities, for both the young and elderly alike of all faiths, united in common prayer.”
