INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Ron Artest scored 24 points to help the Indiana Pacers beat the Houston Rockets 85-74 on Sunday night.

Yao Ming led Houston with 24 points and 13 rebounds, but was 8-for-21 from the field.

The Pacers (6-3) won their second in a row heading into their Thanksgiving Night showdown with Cleveland.

The short-handed Rockets (3-7) lost their third in a row.

Knicks 103, Blazers 92

NEW YORK – Stephon Marbury scored a season-high 27 points to help New York beat the Portland Trail Blazers 103-92, giving coach Larry Brown his first Knicks victory at Madison Square Garden.

Clippers 113, Warriors 101

LOS ANGELES -Elton Brand had 32 points and 10 rebounds, Corey Maggette scored 24 points and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors 113-101.

Raptors 107, Heat 94

TORONTO – The Raptors won their first game of the season by beating the first-place Miami Heat 107-94, ending Toronto’s longest losing streak since 2003.

Chris Bosh had a season-high 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Raptors, who opened the season 0-9 -the worst start in their 11-year history.

Mike James added 25 points for Toronto.
