BETHEL – The Kings Revels, a group of musicians from southern Maine, will present a concert of Christmas music at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at West Parish Congregational Church.

The Kings Revels specialize in the performance of early music, European and American. The program will include Christmas music from the 12th century to modern times. Some music will be a cappella and other numbers will be performed using Renaissance period instruments.

Director Janeth Filgate, soprano, who also plays recorders, has created special musical arrangements for the group. Other members include Martha Howell, alto, on percussion; Peter Howell, tenor, on percussion; Robert Filgate, bass, on recorder and krummhorn; and Paul Engborg on recorder and percussion.

The group has performed extensively in southern Maine. They have produced a Christmas CD, “The Kings Revels Wassail.”

The concert is co-sponsored by Western Mountains Senior College and Mahoosuc Arts Council. Donations at the door will be welcome to help defray costs.
