Artisan fair

NEW GLOUCESTER – Fiddlehead Center for the Arts will hold its third annual Holiday Artisan Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Nov. 29, on the Pineland campus. Artists interested in participating can obtain an application by calling 688-2244.

There will be jewelry, pottery, textiles, silk and velvet scarves, specialty foods and baked goods.

Fiddlehead Center for the Arts is a comprehensive multi-community arts center that creates an environment where children can be involved in the performing, visual and creative arts and sciences and is located on the Pineland campus. Open house

MANCHESTER – The Artistree Artisans Cooperative will hold its 17th annual open house with 30-plus artisans displaying their creations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 25, 26 and 27, at the Augusta Country Club.

There will be free admission, featured artists, musicians, refreshments, raffle, door prize and an assortment of fine handcrafts and antiques.

The show of juried fine art and crafts will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 25 and 26 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 27. A special preview night for show and sale of one of a kind pieces will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23. There is a $5 admission for that evening. Proceeds will benefit phone cards for Maine troops abroad.
