MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Zach Randolph had 20 points and 13 rebounds, Darius Miles added 22 points, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 95-87.

Miles keyed an early burst in the fourth period with three baskets as Portland built a 75-65 lead. The Trail Blazers maintained at least a six-point advantage the rest of the way to snap a two-game losing streak.

Reserve Juan Dixon scored 20 points, including nine straight in the final minute, while Travis Outlaw finished with 10 points and shot 4-of-6 from the field.

Shane Battier led Memphis with 21 points and reserve Mike Miller had 20. Pau Gasol scored 18 points and grabbed 16 points for Memphis, which has lost two straight.

Portland led 51-38 at halftime after Sergei Monia’s 3-pointer at the horn. The Blazers shot 56 percent and took their biggest lead of the half at 46-32 after back-to-back inside baskets by Joel Przybilla with just under four minutes left.

Memphis was just 6-of-23 in the second quarter. Memphis guards Damon Stoudamire and Eddie Jones missed all seven of their shots in the half.

Miller and Battier had 11 points in the half for Memphis.

The Grizzlies fought their way back with a 14-2 run to open the third period. The Blazers led 69-63 entering the fourth.

Notes: The Grizzlies waived C John Thomas before the game, leaving them with 14 roster players. Memphis coach Mike Fratello said with F Brian Cardinal working out more from offseason knee surgery, Thomas’ minutes would be reduced, and they wanted to give him an opportunity to hook on with another team. … Portland played its first game since F Ruben Patterson was put on the inactive list for the remainder of the Trail Blazers’ road trip after a confrontation with coach Nate McMillan at New York. … Second-year Blazers F Viktor Khryapa from the Ukraine was activated before the game, the first time he has been active this year. He did not play. … Randolph, who had only two rebounds against the Knicks on Sunday, recorded his seventh double-double in nine games.
