TORONTO – Anaheim Mighty Ducks forward Todd Fedoruk was suspended for three games without pay Wednesday by the NHL, a day after he drew a match penalty for a hit on Phoenix center Petre Nedved.

Fedoruk was given the match penalty midway through the third period of Anaheim’s 2-1 victory Tuesday night when he left his skates to hit Nedved with an elbow. The shot appeared to be in retaliation for a hit moments earlier by Phoenix defenseman Denis Gauthier against Joffrey Lupul.
