MIAMI – Dwyane Wade scored 19 points and tied his personal high with 11 rebounds for his 23rd career double-double, leading the Miami Heat to a 100-79 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Jason Williams added 16 points, and James Posey and Antoine Walker each had 12 for Miami, which has won six straight and five of six overall. Coming off a loss at previously winless Toronto on Sunday, the Heat improved to 5-3 without injured center Shaquille O’Neal.

Wade shot 7-of-13 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in his sixth double-double of the season.

Darius Miles scored 19 points and Zach Randolph added 16 for Portland, which has lost three of four and fell to 1-2 on its seven-game road trip.

Williams scored 11 points in the third quarter, one point less than Portland scored in the period as Miami built a 72-57 lead. The Trail Blazers never got closer, falling behind by as many as 23 points twice in the fourth quarter.

Martell Webster entered the game midway through the fourth and scored 13 of the Blazers’ final 17 points.

Notes: Alonzo Mourning notched his 2,000th career block, coming on a shot by Joel Przybilla in the first quarter. Mourning is 14th on the career list, and third among active players behind Dikembe Mutombo and O’Neal. … The Heat’s victory was just the fourth in 18 games played between the two teams in Miami.
