The seventh and eighth graders at Elm Street School really enjoy having the laptops. We use them in most of our classes. Whether it’s making tables in math, researching in science or history or doing writing pieces in language arts students are always using the ibooks. You could ask anyone in the seventh and eighth grade wing and they would tell you the same thing: The laptops are very useful. As one student says “They’re heavy, but helpful.”

Elm Street hosted Technology Week with special guest instructor Jim Moulten. It was a huge success. Students were introduced to iMovie on the laptops. Maine is the fast state to use the laptops in the school systems and it is Elm Street’s fourth year.
