RUMFORD – Following a 30-minute executive session Wednesday night, River Valley Growth Council directors unanimously gave Executive Director Rosie Bradley a pay raise.
Bradley, who was making $42,000, is now to receive $50,000, said board President Dick Lovejoy after the meeting was adjourned.
“The Personnel Committee reviewed her performance and feels that she is doing an outstanding job,” Lovejoy said. “She’s responsible for both operations of the Growth Council and the River Valley Technology Center. Before, we had two people doing those jobs, now we have one.”
At a council meeting in late June, directors unanimously agreed to hire Bradley, then the council’s assistant executive director, as its executive director and the center’s administrator.
Bradley was initially hired in 1998 by the River Valley-area economic and commercial development corporation.
In other business, Bradley told directors that the council is working on two projects that could bring more than 100 new skilled manufacturing jobs to Rumford’s new business park. She did not reveal details about the projects.
The council is to help one project choose contractors and advertising work.
When asked about the possible wage range of the new jobs, Bradley estimated they would be between $9 and $14 an hour.
Citing pending negotiations, she declined to identify the company.
