NEW VINEYARD – The wedding of Abigail Ruth Field and Wayne Herbert Drake was held at 11 a.m. on June 4 at the Open Bible Baptist Church in New Vineyard. Pastor Duane Schanz officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Drake is the daughter of Harold and Katharine Field of New Vineyard. Mr. Drake is the son of Randall and Jill Bates of New Vineyard.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother. The maid of honor was a friend, Heather Durrell, and bridesmaids were Allison Bates, sister of the bridegroom, Amy Bell, friend, and Rachel Fletcher, friend. Another friend, Rylee Briggs, was flower girl.
Daniel DiDonna Jr., friend, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Matthew Brackley, John Bell and David Fletcher, friends of the bridegroom. Another friend, Noah Bell, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the church, after which the couple traveled to Prince Edward lsland. Mr. and Mrs. Drake currently reside in New Vineyard.
