ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – DeShawn Stevenson scored 18 points, including several key run-sparking jumpers, and Dwight Howard had 17 points and 14 rebounds in the Orlando Magic’s 94-83 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.

Carmelo Anthony, coming off a season-high 40 points Friday night in a win over Miami, finished with 23 points, and Marcus Camby added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Nuggets.

With the victory, Orlando snapped a five-game losing streak and ended Denver’s winning streak at three games. It was Orlando’s 13th straight home victory over the Nuggets.

Stevenson found his stroke in the third quarter, hitting four 20-foot jumpers in the first 4:58 to help Orlando take a 61-51 lead.

Denver went 3:11 without a field goal in the period, and finished with four for 11 points. The Nuggets shot 41 percent overall and was largely unable to capitalize on 21 Magic turnovers. The Nuggets committed 18 turnovers

With Denver’s front court in foul trouble much of the game, Tony Battie scored a season-high 15 points and had seven rebounds. Steve Francis added 15 points and seven assists for the Magic.

Voshon Lenard scored 14 points for Denver.

Despite missing several inside shots, Orlando’s second chances off 18 offensive rebounds allowed the Magic to open a 71-57 lead by the end of the third. It stayed that way for most of the fourth.

Notes: Orlando’s Grant Hill, sidelined all season after having surgery Oct. 31 for a sports hernia, practiced full-speed this week but didn’t suit up. His first game could be Wednesday night in New York. … Denver’s Kenyon Martin missed his seventh game of the season and second in a row because of a knee injury. … The Magic wore white pinstripe uniforms from their inaugural 1989-90 season as part of the NBA’s “Hardwood Classics Nights.”
