CLEVELAND – Al Harrigton scored 20 points and Tyronn Lue had a season-high 19 as the Atlanta Hawks won just their second road game, surprising the sluggish Cleveland Cavaliers 100-94 on Tuesday night.

Joe Johnson added 18 for the Hawks, who came in an NBA-worst 3-16 overall and only 1-10 outside Atlanta.

Wizards 94, Nets 74

WASHINGTON – The Washington Wizards broke a three-game losing streak without ailing All-Star Gilbert Arenas.

Chucky Atkins ran the offense with Arenas nursing a sore back and Jarvis Hayes scored 19 points Tuesday night to lead a balanced attack for the Wizards in a 94-74 victory over the New Jersey Nets.

Nuggets 101, Bobcats 85

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 42 points and the Denver Nuggets handed the Charlotte Bobcats their eighth straight defeat, 101-85 on Tuesday night.

Kings 93, T’wolves 91

MINNEAPOLIS – Bonzi Wells hit a 3-pointer from the corner as time expired to lift the Sacramento Kings to a 93-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.

Wells appeared to hand the Timberwolves their sixth victory in seven games when he missed one of two free throws with 28 seconds left, leaving the deficit at 91-89. Trenton Hassell’s driving layup gave the Wolves a lead 2 seconds earlier.
